About

Caenotech.co.uk is a personal blog about virtualisation technologies maintained by Christopher Mitchell. It primarily focuses on VMware products.

I am currently a Senior Consultant in the UK VMware Professional Services division and Xtravirt Limited, with over 15 years of management, project and technical experience working in both private and public sectors on a wide variety of projects including many solutions for server consolidation, implementation and migration, data centre transformations, virtualisation programmes and End User Computing. Sector experience includes Finance, Healthcare, Law and Engineering.

My specialist areas include Virtual Infrastructure design and implementation including security, network, storage and backup, End User Computing including application and full desktop delivery, Monitoring of server and desktop workloads, and Disaster Recovery design and implementation.

Technical capabilities are predominantly VMware biased, but my skills cover a broader scope to ensure customer solutions are delivered using the most appropriate technologies,
